And it is a lot of fun to see what word it comes up with if I'm 'stuck', but then I realised I could also use it to write some quick, litte stories. So, I proudly present my new series:
The Random Word Generator Stories.
the random word generator: cinema (movie)
Disclaimer: Brothers & Sisters is not mine, I know. Stop rubbing it in.
“So what’s playing tonight?” Rebecca asks.
“Seriously? Go to the movies? Us? Tonight?” Justin asks in return. Lately Rebecca is often tired when she comes home, so he is surprised at her idea to go out.
“Yes. I am. I want to remember what it’s like to be young and free.”
“You’re not free, you’re with me.” Justin reminds her. And she smiles.
“If that’s the case, you’re paying.”
“Yeah, sure. It’s always the men.” Justin complain with a grin. “Are you sure about this? Remember the last time we went? Disaster.”
Rebecca doesn’t smile. No, that was not a fun moment. She can still his hurt look as he tries to explain that he has ‘feelings’ for her. His attempt to explain that he is confused and scared. She felt like such a liar. There he was, in love with her, thinking he couldn’t be, because she was his half-sister and there she was, knowing that they were not related and that Justin had nothing to be ashamed of or be embarrassed about.
“Let’s not go down that particular memory-lane.” She suggests and Justin, seeing that it upsets her, nods.
“So, what will it be? A horror-movie? I hear there’s a good zombie-movie, about…. ”
“Oh, no! We watched “Night of the Living Dead” and “Friday the 13th” last weekend... No... Some nice romantic movie….” She swoons.
“A girl’s movie? Hel-lo-ho…” Justin reacts, pointing at himself, before suggesting an action movie.
“A boy’s movie? Hel-lo-ho…” Rebecca protests, pointing at herself. Justin grins.
“I got a better plan. I borrowed “Pirates of the Caribbean” from Kevin. How about we watch that here? I mean,… there are handsome boys in there,..” he points as Rebecca. “A pretty girl.” Points at himself. “Drama, romance, horror.” He sums up.
“We have popcorn and enough to drink…” Rebecca thinks out loud
“…it’s way cheaper…”
“… we don’t have to drive, park or search for the right spot…” Rebecca starts to like the idea better and better. She’s a bit tired anyway and she would rather be on the couch, snuggled up to Justin.
“What about the ‘young and free’ thing you wanted to celebrate?” Justin asks, she smiles and answers in a sultry voice, she must have inherited from her mother:
“But as you said, I’m no longer free. I am in a relationship… with you and you are the one I want to be with…” And she taps him softly on the nose with her finger just before she kisses him.
