And this one pretty much explains how I feel about Brothers & Sisters right now!

It misses 'heart'. I usually cry at least once, and I know that there were moments that SHOULD have touched me, but they just didn't. (Sigh)

I was going through the 600+ messages piled up in my inbox, and saw the picture. Is it that bad? I mean, is there even a little hope, like funny scenes or moving ones or something? Is it everyone's opinion on B&S.tv?

I read the episode descriptions, and Scotty cheated???? Oh my! That's a silly move. We'll discuss this when I've caught up with the show if you want.

Mhmm, what can I say? This is just my PERSONAL opinion and you should really make up your own mind, because my view of certain things ARE tainted (will get to that later).

I won't give away spoilers (except for the K/S thing, that you already read about)

I think that every episode in itself is good enough, but every episode feels like a filler-episode. I mean, the other seasons had some 'red thread' like Kitty's cancer, the fall-out of William's death... But this season just feels like every episode is a stand-alone episode.

Maybe it is different if you see 10 episodes in a row (like you might, if you try to catch up).

Furthermore, I feel that we're being 'told' things, instead of things being 'shown' to us and too much happens 'off screen' and, as a viewer, you have to fill in the gaps yourself, which is not always the best way to go about a series.

Maybe MY expectations for this show were too high after the beautiful season 4 finale, I don't know.

Without giving too much away: Acting-wise, the show is still amazing, but story-wise.... Really, I believe, that if they would put these - in MY eyes - incredibly stupid, ridiculous storylines in the hands of lesser actors, this show would sink faster than the Titanic.

Saul, Holly and Rebecca were good this season though.

I HATE how Kitty is written (Had so much potential, coulda been SO much better).

Scotty cheating on Kevin was just silly. BRILLIANTLY acted by both Matthew and Luke, sincerely, they were both SO good, but somehow it just failed.

Suc: Well, no secret, I cannot stand Luc. Marini may be a nice guy, but Luc has a halo that's even bigger than Robert's and Scotty's put together. He just irks me. And, in general, I want to slap Sarah silly. I really dislike her this season (but I blame that mostly on her interactions with Luc, because I still love her with her siblings or Nora.).

I want to give some valium to Nora and I wish they would give me more Justin, who seems to be most normal character this season.

BUT... this is just a personal opinion, the verdict on this season is still out, some fans just love it, some fans just loathe it, some fans have stopped watching and some have stopped commenting, especially when the arguments about the K/S-storyline got too heated

(It got to a point where I, having been in Kevin's shoes, decided to step away from the forum for several days, because I realized that it all got too personal for me and I felt that, as a moderator, I could not remain impartial enough. That's what I meant by it all being 'tainted' for me.)

But, really, watch the episodes and make up your own mind, because MY opinion is very much my own and it may not necessarily be yours.

After all, WE have very different opinions on Jason McCallister as well. ;)

It's funny. This message brings me back to my B&S addicted period, when my life revolved around it! It faded away quickly enough, thankfully!

Reading the summaries on the website, things looked promising. Kevin being back to lawyer duties, Saul and Scotty opening a restaurant... I'm just confused about the baby storyline that made up last year season for Kevin & Scotty because I haven't seen any mention of a baby anywhere. Did they kill Michelle over the summer? Did she run away with it? Don't tell me!

You're right about our opinions being different. Jason! Also, I hated the season finale. I hated the fact that they gave Saul aids. It sends the wrong message: a gay guy (when too many people still think it's a gay disease), and the idea that he lived with it for more than 20 years without noticing. It's possible but very rare. What does it say? That you can live with aids for 20 years without any consequences? Is it a responsible message to send? I don't think so.

As for Robert's death. It was so obvious he would die. We never see them in their cars except for comic relief and all of them at the same time... I don't remember the details but it was very predictable to me, more that it should have been. Maybe I should just watch it again my memory fails me!

I will always say that firing Baitz, was like killing the spirit behind that show. Only the fans know that sadly.

Well, now, I'm looking forward to watch it and I saw Stephen Collins guest stars! That's a good news to me, I love this guy!

Personally, the best guest-star (so far) for me is Richard Chamberlain. I thought I would be disappointed, because I saw the pictures and he's grown older (like me! - who liked him in the 80s) but he came on the screen and he still captivated me.

Yeah, have a look at the new season and let me know what you think. I promise I won't be mad if you have (yet again!) a different opinion than me. ;D

I was browsing your lj for a Kevin/Scotty post cheating storyline, cause I've read one pro Scotty that slightly irked me--and thought you'd have a pro Kevin one--and saw the picture. Then, I saw my name, read my comment, and this :
I'm just confused about the baby storyline that made up last year's season for Kevin & Scotty because I haven't seen any mention of a baby anywhere. Did they kill Michelle over the summer? Did she run away with it? Don't tell me!

I almost chocked laughing! I was only kidding. Epic fail on my part and on the writers' part.

I don't know if I really some Pro-Kevin story, or that just I had Scotty be more apologetic and slightly more humble about Kevin's forgiveness, rather than act like he deserved it..

Well, doesn't matter anymore, I suppose, it's over anyway. :(
