Summary: Summer-holidays are coming and the boys don’t know what to do with themselves.
Extra: It takes place after season 4 finale, but I’ve lost the time-line of the episodes and I will pretend that the events of the finale happened in the spring.
Scotty wakes up to the smell of fresh coffee and warm bread. He moans and stretches out, the sheets clinging to his body, because it’s warm in the bedroom.
“Good morning.” Kevin greets cheerful. “How’s my beautiful husband?” He asks with a smile.
“I don’t know how your beautiful husband feels, but your frumpy, exhausted husband here feels like he could sleep for an few more hours.” Scotty replies grumpily. Kevin laughs. “And why are you so happy?”
“I just called the hospital.”
“Whah?” Scotty sits up, suddenly awake. “I hoped it was all some awful nightmare, but Jordan really nearly died yesterday, didn’t he?”
“Yes. But he had a good night, he responds well to impulses, his situation has been stable all night and they plan to wake him up during the morning…
And, if that goes well, we might be allowed to see him this afternoon. But just one at a time. They don’t want to exhaust him.”
“Oh, that’s good news.” Scotty says, a bit at a loss for words.
“Yes… Now eat, drink your coffee, freshen up a bit.”
“You know, you’re an amazing husband.” Scotty laughs and he reaches out to Kevin. Kevin’s body covers Scotty's and they kiss until they’re both out of breath. “I love you so much.” Scotty whispers against Kevin’s mouth.
“And I love you…. Now, please, stop turning me on and get breakfast….” Kevin teases.
“So, there you guys are, about time you came down-stairs.” Chad greets Kevin and Scotty as they join the others in the garden.
“Yeah, sorry about that. I didn’t want to get up.” Scotty smiles.
“Kevin texted us the news about Jordan. Very hopeful.” James says and Scotty nods.
“Good morning, everyone.” Tessa says as she approaches them. She’s not alone. Behind her is a man hardly twenty years old and Scotty sees how Kevin, James and Kay greet him with a smile. “My son Kevin Vermeer.” The young man shakes hands with everybody and seems pleased to see them all.
Scotty tries to figure out if the young man reminds him of someone. The dark curls could be Kevin’s and he sure has beautiful blue eyes, but there’s something about him that doesn’t reminds Scotty of either his husband or Tessa. Of course that doesn’t mean anything. He’s still his own person and could have developed in a way that has nothing to do with either of them.
Kevin jr. catches Scotty’s look and smiles at Scotty. Scotty replies likewise, thinking that there was something of James in that smile, but when he looks real close, it could also be that his tallness and softer features remind Scotty of Kai…. This is frustrating. As if, he can feel Scotty’s frustration, Kevin jr turns to him.
“Scotty, I was wondering if I could talk to you and Kevin. Alone.”
“Yes, of course.” Scotty replies, getting up and following both Kevins to another table, where they sit down and Kevin jr. places an envelope containing several documents on the table.
“Scotty, ahm… I don’t really know where to start, but… My mother has kept me up-to-date about what happened here. The reunion, Karen, her death, the murders, Ian, your friend.. It’s been a bad couple of day for most of you… And… I spoke to James and Kay last night and to Kevin this morning…
We all agree that it’s best to get all the secrets out of the way, once and for all. When I was thirteen, I wanted to know who my biological father was and Kevin and Kay got tested and James was kept out of it, because of Karen, but, logically speaking, if one of the other two was my father, then it couldn’t be James, if it was neither of them, I had to be James’.
With Karen dead, I no longer have to protect my mother and myself from further harassment from her. And James, Kay and Kevin agree that it should no longer be a secret. I have here Kevin’s results and, as you can see from where I highlighted it, the test came back negative. Kevin is not my father.”
Scotty stares at the sheet of paper. The letter, written in Dutch, has no meaning, all he sees is the “Negatief/Negative” that was highlighted. He blinks a few times, not sure how to respond. Kevin jr gets up and excuses himself with the words: “I’ll leave you two alone.”
The little squeeze he gives Kevin’s shoulder, when he passes, registers with Scotty.
“Are you happy with the results?” Kevin asks, leaning a little closer to Scotty.
“I don’t know. Would I be very heartless for secretly being satisfied with this answer?” Scotty asks in a little voice and Kevin starts to laugh.
“No, honey, you’re not. I don’t think anyone in his right mind, would ever call you heartless.”
“Are you disappointed?” Scotty asks and Kevin thinks it through before answering.
“No. Not really. I never chose to do this, unlike James and Kay.”
“Yes, but didn’t you hope… somewhere, somehow…?” Scotty doesn’t finish his question.
“No, ..” Kevin decidedly shakes his head. “I didn’t sleep with Tessa because I wanted to help her get pregnant. I did it because…” And he smiles, lost in the memory. “I walked in on them, that night, when she was with James and Kay.
And… I was drunk. Had just been turned out by a very cute man, I felt miserable and opening that door and walking in on them making out and get an immediate good view of James’ ass, was a bit of a ‘wow’ moment…. I never before,… or again…, noticed how cute he was and it was kind of arousing…
And then Kay suggested I’d join in and Tessa agreed and before I knew it, I had no idea who was doing what to me… And then James came too fast and I hadn’t and,… I guess that Tessa didn’t want to … waste the opportunity….” Kevin grins..
“'Waste the opportunity?'... You’re such a lawyer.” Scotty starts to laugh.
Kevin leans in even closer and kisses Scotty softly on the lips.
“Are you mad with me?” he then asks.
“With you? Over something that happened twenty years ago? No.. I’m not. I love you.”
“And I love you.” Kevin kisses him one more time.
Scotty melts into the kiss, loving the fact that Kevin is no longer having so many trouble with open displays of affection. When their kiss however becomes to passionate, Scotty breaks the moment and whispers:
“It just occurred to me that you slept with all three of them… Must have been one heck of a night… You should give me all the details…”
“Welllll, it’s all really fuzzy to me. Like I said, I was drunk and not thinking very clearly. There are a lot of things I don’t remember. But…” Kevin kisses Scotty again. “… if you come upstairs with me…” His fingers bring up Scotty’s t-shirt a bit, so that he can caress the skin underneath. “To our room…” Another kiss. “… I’ll be more than happy to make up the rest of it.”
Scotty chuckles against Kevin’s lips.
“Sounds like a splendid idea. Let’s get out of here.” As they get up, they see that the others are still talking to each other. They both realize they will not really be missed and so, all giggly like a couple of kids, they manage to get out of the garden undetected.
They don’t have to wait long for the elevator, which they have all to themselves, and by the time the door of their room closes behind them, Kevin’s hands hungrily tug at Scotty’s shirt. Scotty quickly takes it off.
“I think, I still owe you something for last night.” Scotty breathes heavily.
He pushes Kevin towards the bed and when Kevin finally gets on it, he crawls on top of Kevin, his hands roaming all over Kevin’s body and his mouth claiming Kevin’s with passion. Kevin arches up to the touches, moans Scotty’s name as Scotty pushes down Kevin’s short to release Kevin’s cock.
Scotty’s strong hand firmly grips Kevin and Kevin moves his body against Scotty’s. Scotty’s mouth leaves Kevin’s and Kevin just knows that it will join his hand and bring him to a climax and for a moment Kevin can’t wait that for those lips around him, but then his anticipation gets disrupted by an annoying sound.
Kevin silently curses Alexander Graham Bell for inventing the telephone, while Scotty, clearly annoyed too, answers the caller. But then his entire attitude changes as he confirms that the caller is speaking to Scotty Wandell. Kevin sits up as well, when Scotty’s face becomes all serious.
“Jordan? Yes, yes, I’ll come to the hospital to see him…” He replies and Kevin feels shocked. Had Jordan’s situation changed for the worse? He tries to read Scotty’s face, but Scotty is obviously planning on coming across as focused, because his face doesn’t reveal anything. “I’ll be there, as soon as I can.” Scotty promises, before breaking the connection.
“Is Jordan alright?” Kevin immediately asks. Scotty nods, suddenly smiling with tears in his eyes.
“He just woke up… He’s disorientated, but he responds well to questions asked…”
“That is great news!” Kevin hugs Scotty and their kiss is filled with happiness for their friend.
“Ahm, I think I better take care of you first.” Scotty says, wanting to push Kevin back on the bed, but Kevin stops him.
“No. I’m not so much in the mood anymore… I want to see Jordan. I won’t believe it until I actually talk to him myself.” He says, getting of the bed and rearranging his clothes.
Scotty knows that Kevin is disappointed and he quickly takes Kevin in his arms.
“I swear, I’ll make it up to you. Tenfold.”
“What are your trying to do? Kill me? So you can inherit everything? Once will be enough.. Maybe twice.” He grins. “Now get dressed and let’s go.”
At the door, Scotty turns to Kevin, takes him by the chin and forcing Kevin to look at him.
“Kevin Walker, I love with all my heart.” He says, far more sincerely than he needs to be and when Kevin follows him to the elevator, he realizes that Scotty’s words of love just brought him more satisfaction than a climax would have.
