Searching for JRB interview...
15th-Sep-2013 07:54 pm
actor matthew rhys
I'm working on updating Matthew's bio and I wonder if anyone still has the interview (Huffington post?) with Jon Robin Baitz about why he quit with B&S? I only still have his quote (my favorite) “There is nothing that Matthew Rhys is afraid of, no wordplay gives him pause; he is capable of anything.", but I cannot find the original interview anywhere on my computer (I know it's no longer on the net). I thought that someone on here had the entire interview.

Anyone?

A bit. I'm grateful for this. I don't think I have either interviews on my lists, but the one I'm really searching for is huffington one they both refer to. I know that someone posted it a few months ago, somewhere, but I cannot remember where I saw it posted. And I'm almost sure it's someone I know from LJ.

But these are great too, still have to read the entire AfterElton one though.

Hi!
It was not an interview, Baitz wrote a weekly blog in Huffington Post and it was an article from him on his blog. He deleted the posts some weeks after he published it. I copied it in word an I post it in the old B&S forum, I think I still have the copy in my old computer. Now, I'm traveling but tomorrow at home I will try to find it.

Yes!!! That could be it! I thought it was a 2 or 3-part something about leaving LA/going back to New York (I think?) and he talked about B&S, things about his love life not working out (?) and what went wrong in LA, I don't remember much about it, it was a LONG read. I think that there were more parts, but only one was about B&S/MR (so, it could have been a blog). I thought I had it too somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find it.
I loved his quote about Matthew so much that I added it to his bio, but the rest of it seems misplaced...

I remember it, too. I'm pretty sure I printed it, but I have no idea where that would be. I checked my pocket (the firefox add-on!) and I have it listed as saved 844 days ago (time flies!). Someone had copied and pasted the article on a writer's forum.

Went back to the folder on the computer and it's empty. Pocket has stopped working a few weeks ago, and I can't load the pages on Firefox as I used to, but the files are still on my computer. Except this one. Bummer!

Enough blabla, found part 3, but no luck on part 1 & 2 so far.

Part 1 and part 2 thanks to the wayback machine on the Internet archive.

First time, it actually helps recover something. The pages I look for never appear! You're one lucky girl.

Hope that's what you were looking for :)

Yes, these are the ones I meant too. Thank you for posting them! I had them in word format but it's great to have them in the original format and with the first page of comments too :) Still sad and angry that the newtork didn't let Baitz to continue working in his creation. I think that the first season of B&S is very superior to the rest of seasons and that Baitz is an incredible writer. Hope he write some day a tv series for a cable station and that he will cast Luke or Matthew :)

That was some really interesting reading! I had no idea the show had gone through so much drama backstage, although after having watched all 5 seasons I definitely see a change in style and themes (and perhaps even acting/directing quality).
